Medical Equipment Repair
At Project MEND, we believe that access to properly functioning medical equipment is essential to maintaining independence, safety, and quality of life. Our Repair Services program provides professional evaluation, maintenance, and repair of durable medical equipment (DME), including wheelchairs, walkers, scooters, hospital beds, and other mobility and accessibility devices whenever possible. Our skilled technicians work to restore equipment to safe operating condition, helping individuals avoid unnecessary replacement costs and extended periods without critical mobility support. Whether you are an individual, caregiver, healthcare provider, or community partner, Project MEND is committed to extending the life of medical equipment and increasing access to mobility solutions throughout the communities we serve.

MEND Days
MEND Days – Mobile Repair Clinics

Project MEND’s MEND Days bring mobility support directly into the community. We set up mobile repair clinics at nursing homes, senior centers, community centers, health fairs, and other partner locations to provide on-site equipment support.
During a MEND Day, our team performs basic safety checks and minor repairs on non-complex durable medical equipment such as:
- Rollator brake adjustments
- Wheelchair brake tightening and alignment
- General safety inspections
- Equipment sanitizing and cleaning
If equipment is beyond repair or requires more extensive service, we provide information on how to become a Project MEND client and access refurbished equipment through our lending program.
MEND Days are designed to keep individuals safe, mobile, and independent — without the burden of transporting equipment.

Replacement Parts &

Extending Mobility Beyond Our Service Area
Not all donated equipment can be fully refurbished. When that happens, we responsibly recover functional parts and make them available through our official eBay store.
By offering these parts at drastically reduced prices compared to other sellers, we help families, repair providers, and individuals across the country keep mobility devices functioning—particularly in areas where nonprofit equipment programs are not available.
Proceeds directly support Project MEND’s work in redistributing life-changing medical equipment.
