By opting in to receive text messages from Project MEND (“Project MEND,” “we,” “our,” or “us”), you agree to these SMS Terms & Conditions.

Project MEND may send text messages related to:
- Appointment reminders
- Equipment pickup and delivery updates
- Service coordination
- Repair notifications
- Volunteer opportunities
- Program updates
- Community outreach initiatives
- General organizational communications
Message frequency may vary depending on your interaction with Project MEND.
- Opt-In Consent
By providing your mobile phone number and affirmatively consenting to receive text messages, you authorize Project MEND to send SMS communications to the number provided.
Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of receiving services from Project MEND.

- HIPAA-Conscious Communications Disclaimer
As a nonprofit organization that may coordinate services involving medical equipment and assistive technology, Project MEND takes reasonable measures to protect sensitive information.
However, SMS/text messaging is not always a fully secure method of communication. By opting into text messaging, you acknowledge and understand that:
- Standard text messaging may not be encrypted
- There is some risk that information transmitted by text could be accessed by unauthorized individuals
- Project MEND will make reasonable efforts to avoid sending highly sensitive personal or medical information via SMS
We encourage individuals not to send confidential medical information, Social Security numbers, insurance information, or other sensitive health data through text messages.
If sensitive communication is required, Project MEND may request communication through more secure methods.

SMS services may not be available on all carriers or devices. Delivery of messages is subject to effective transmission by your mobile carrier.
Project MEND is not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
