Project MEND Veterans Program

Project MEND is honored to serve those who served our country. We assist Texas veterans (any person discharged from the armed forces of the United States) and their family members, including surviving spouses (widows/widowers) and dependents (spouses and dependent children), with refurbished medical equipment and other assistive technology items.

  • Service connected disability is NOT required

  • Disability rating issued by the VA is NOT required

  • Proof of Texas address and veteran status (by way of DD-214, Texas ID, Military ID, etc.) required

  • No income requirements

Refurbished medical equipment items we provide include wheelchairs, walkers,
rollators, hospital beds, tub transfer benches, and power scooters.

Other items may be available


Assistive technology items we can fund include hearing aids, adaptive communication
aids, lift chairs, prostheses, orthotics, and diabetic shoes.
